Arts Festival Tops Attendance Record
The 2018 White Tank Mountains Arts Festival topped its attendance record with more than 4,100 visitors on February 17 and 18.
Under beautiful blue skies with the stately White Tank Mountains as a backdrop, visitors enjoyed the open-air shopping experience. More than 70 artists and crafters, a record high that was up about 16% from last year, shared their wares.
The ambient music of Wind and Color featuring Scott Schaefer performing on his Native American style flutes enhanced the visitor experience.
Co-sponsored by The Conservancy and Friends organizations, volunteers were generous with their support and time while preparing for the event over the past several months. Many discovered formerly untested organizational skills as well as practical tasks like laying out booth spaces, checking in vendors, parking, booth sitting, and much more!
Congratulations to members of both organizations on a successful event and a huge thank you to all who assisted or supported.
The festival committee will be meeting on March 16 to debrief processes and procedures and plan for next year’s festival.
